– Estructuras y cuerpos artificiales enterrados
– Estratigrafías y basamentos rocosos
– Recursos Geotermales
– Lixiviados

Geoelectrical Studies

Through surface made measurements, the underground electric properties are studied. The properties measured in the rock that composite the underground are defined as resistivity and cargability. These techniques are useful on detection and evaluation of:

  • Mining reservoirs
  • Underground water
  • Buried bodies of interest
  • Stratigraphy and bedrock depth determination
  • Spontaneous Potential

Spontaneous potential is referred to the electrical potential measurable on the surface. This non-zero potential is caused by a number of natural phenomena, such as underground water currents, metalic mineral presence and the existence of deep heat sources (like magma chambers).

In general, the resistivity geoelectrica method is useful for the detection and study of:

  • Minerals, specially metals
  • Aquifers and underground springs
  • Geothermal resources
  • Volcanic activity
  • Leachates

Hydrology and Hydrogeology

Using information of previous geological studies and complementing with geophysical data, it is possible to realize:

  • Recharge of superficial water modeling
  • Simulations of underground water content
  • Projection of aquifer depletion
  • Studies of aquifer vulnerability
  • Projection of hydrological conditions
  • Remote sensing techniques applied to hydrological studies
